The "Scouting report" on the plays seen on these pages...

  • No strategy here! Plays simply demonstrate PiM's Features...

  • Not all Features are demo'd: not seeing something doesn't mean it can't be done...

  • Your plays can easily be more or less complex than the examples

  • Be sure to have a look at all the videos (even if they are for other sports)

  • Shown at reduced animation quality and size for faster Internet delivery

Hockey #3

Lots to consider

You don't have to use all the players.  For example, you can hide the defense (as in this case) or choose from 2-12 players per Team (Offense or Defense) when you create the play.

Generally speaking, only use the number of players you really need to get your point across...

Animated Symbols are getting a workout.  A circle with 'T' arrowheads centered on the puck-controlling player could be used to indicate which direction the player faces, say, for backward skating.  A chevron does the same thing over on the left side of the ice.

The path constructed of triangles was very easy to lay out with the Magic tool; it only took about 5 seconds.

Finally, have a look at the blocking player: it shows what you may not want to do: place a block and move at the same time!
